Your Sk8 Center also has a live DJ at each and every Sk8’n session – our DJ’s play selected songs from the latest Top 40 hits and your music requests, to include long-forgotten Oldies and those What Went Before incomparable Old School tunes.  

With technologically-superior illumination – powered by 100-plus LED light fixtures – your Sk8 Center offers fascinating lightening schemes to mirror each Sk8'n song’s intention and individual Sk8'er moods.  Neon’s, mirror balls, strobes, and multi-colored and white spot lights combine to further enhance your overall fun-time Sk8’n experience.

And for Sk8'ers who get a bit hungry or wish to quench their thirst while Sk8’n, your Sk8 Center sports a polished granite snack bar, aptly stocked with all your favorite snack time goodies – delicious slices of pizza, crunchy, cheese-covered nachos, piping hot dogs, mouthwatering French fries, and an abundance of chilled beverages, to include diet soda, bottled water, and low-calorie fruit and sport drinks.

Rental Sk8's & Sk8's for Sale

Your Sk8 Center sports over 800 rental Sk8's for those Sk8'ers who do not have their own Sk8's. We routinely maintain our rental Sk8's to ensure they are in tiptop condition and offer traditional brownies as well as speed Sk8's.

Your Sk8 Center also stocks and sells on site a wide-variety of Sk8's available in most shoe sizes, and your expert Sk8'n crew stands ready to accommodate your every Sk8'n need that fits your budget and your Sk8 preference.  We also offer a wide-variety of Sk8'n accessories, such as lightening-fast bearings, toe stops and plugs, the most popular Sk8'n wheels available on the market, fashionable Sk8'n apparel, and handsome Sk8 bags.   Plus, all Sk8 adjustments are conducted on site by your experienced Sk8 Center crew.

Your Skate Center Floor

Your Sk8 Center Sk8'n Floor is asphalt base covered with sand.  A subfloor of hand laid 1 x 6 cedar planks rests on top of the sand.  One-inch thick hand laid maple planks rest on top of the cedar planks. An expertly-applied covering of "Tite Coat" Polyurethane coats the cedar planks for a smooth, richly-rewarding skating experience.

Your Sk8 Center Sk8'n Floor measures 175 x 80 feet – 14,000 square feet.

Approximately 10.3 complete laps at the extreme perimeter of the Sk8’n floor  encompass one mile (you read that correctly - one mile!) of fun and safe cardio-vascular exercise! 

Sk8 a bit closer to the traffic circle, and you will need one or two additional laps to complete one mile, depending of course on your location on the Sk8'n floor.  More laps = more fun = more smiles per Sk8'n miles!  

In addition - and this is really COOL! - Sk8’ers can expend up to 600 calories an hour while Sk8'n – and also enjoy comfortable, climate-controlled indoor exercise no matter how the weather fares outside.

So (you ask) why is Sk8'n good for me & my kids?

(Here are 10 reasons why – there are plenty more  ...)

1.  You can easily define Sk8’n – in comparison with other sports – with a one-syllable word:  Fun!  In fact, at your Sk8 Center the Sk8'n slogan is “It’s Fun you can FEEL!”

2.  Sk8’n is Fun Exercise that kids of all ages can enjoy – from younger than two years old to young 70-year old-plus Sk8'ers.  In fact, there are many Sk8’ers at your Sk8 Center who started Sk8’n at two years of age – and yes, no kidding – we have many Sk8’ers who are well into their fifties (and much younger as far as sixties and seventies go).

3.  Sk8’n helps develop motor skills, dexterity, conditions bones and muscles, and helps younger Sk8’ers improve their listening skills through participation in games.

4.  Sk8'n provides youngsters (and adults) with social interaction in a safe and stimulating, fun-oriented environment.

5.  Sk8’n is a self-paced sport – Sk8’ers can develop at their own pace.  Over the years, we have watched our regular Sk8’ers develop from novice Sk8’ers into polished, confident athletes who demonstrate outstanding agility, alertness, and physical well-being.  Many now routinely win the Sk8 races, Sk8 backwards and do tricks, such as jumps and spins and jam-skating moves.

6.  Sk8’n develops character, promotes sound physical fitness practices, and helps Sk8’ers develop a sense of pride and confidence.

7.  Sk8’n is equivalent to jogging, as far as health benefits are concerned – and you can exercise indoors no matter how hot, cold, or wet it is outside!

8.  Sk8’n – as mentioned earlier – can result in up to 600 calories being expended in just one hour.  If you do the math, in a four-hour session that’s well over 2,000 calories of fun exercise in a safe and entertaining environment!

9.  Sk8’n is a sport that is just right for families, too.  Your Sk8 Center offers a variety of Family-oriented Sk8’n sessions, to include Saturday Fun Sk8, where birthday Sk8'n parties are an all-time favorite; Thursday Nite Family Sk8; Lil Kids Saturday Sk8 (where Moms & Dads & Grandparents can walk on the Sk8’n floor); and Sunday Family Fun Sk8; and of course - Friday & Saturday Nite Sk8's; in addition to special Sk8'n sessions and private Sk8'n parties.
